Your kindness travels further than you think

A day in the life of a volunteer

Sep 8, 2026 · Ivy Carter · 10 min read

From the 7 am food bank shift to an afternoon reading club, one Saturday volunteer shows us what a day of help looks like.

Our accounts are independently audited every year and published in full on this site. Receive a tax receipt seconds after every gift, plus a yearly summary each January.

Volunteering on Saturdays has become the highlight of my week.

What you will learn

• Transparent reports
• Tax receipts
• Local partners

Choose a cause. Pick the project that matters most to you. We act locally. Partners on the ground turn support into help.
